Sensor taxonomy
The registry types in code are the commercial language. Hardware SKUs must map onto them.
Groups (plant language)
- Climate and room: temperature, humidity, CO2, VOC, PM2.5, dew point, illuminance, noise
- Thermal process: process/core/surface/jacket/exhaust temperature
- Pressure, vacuum, flow: bar, kPa, Pa, L/min, steam kg/h
- Level: tank %, metres, interface
- Wet chemistry: pH, conductivity, turbidity, DO, chlorine
- Product quality: moisture, Brix, density, particles
- Rotating equipment: vibration mm/s, rpm, runtime hours
- Electrical and energy: kW, A, V, power factor (water m³ is utilities, not kWh)
- Mass and count: kg, pcs, line speed, reject %
- Safety: door binary, leak, O2, LEL, CO, occupancy (anonymous)
- Environment: stack/emissions proxies as configured
