TEKTELIC LoRaWAN recipe

KONA gateways and KONA Core or ChirpStack MQTT into Factora.

TEKTELIC (EKTELIC / Techtelic) → IoT.Factora

Calgary, Canada. Carrier-grade LoRaWAN infrastructure. Use when coverage, harsh outdoor, or ATEX matters more than SKU breadth.

Gateways

  • KONA Micro / Enterprise / Macro / Mega — indoor to high-capacity
  • KONA Macro Ex / Mega Ex — hazardous
  • KONA Photon — solar / remote
  • KONA Mobile — temporary sites

A KONA can embed an LNS and speak Modbus/MQTT/BACnet toward plant systems. Factora still wants MQTT value.

Sensors (map carefully)

TEKTELICFactora
TUNDRAtemperature, humidity (cold chain)
BREEZE / AERISco2, IAQ, occupancy as configured
COMFORTroom climate, leak
VIVIDPIR occupancy (anonymous)
ORCA / STORK / PELICANasset location, not production count
SEAL / SEAL EXpersonnel safety tracker
CHICKADEEbadge tracker

Trackers are not OEE counters.

Recipe

  1. Deploy KONA for the regional plan and mounting (pole vs indoor).
  2. Run KONA Core or ChirpStack (or TTN) as LNS — Factora is not the LNS.
  3. Application integration: MQTT toward iot.factoraerp.com:1883 with Factora device credentials.
  4. Payload decoder: TEKTELIC codec → engineering units → { "value": n, "messageId": "<id>" }.
  5. Register matching Factora devices before enabling the integration.

1. SEAL EX is best mapped to
2. Factora replaces KONA Core.
